Ramadan Draw Challenge with Umm Sumayyah Quan

Ramadan Draw Challenge with Umm Sumayyah Quan

This must have been one of the most epic kids challenge for 2022!!

I must've received hundreds of entries from children all over the world. Their challenge was to draw through the Arabic Alphabet all 28 letters. 1 letter per day. Each picture was reflected from a word in the Quran.

The children displayed incredible artistic flare and dedication. I was more impressed by their consistency and the fact they didn't give up or lose momentum. In fact the mothers would message me that their children looked forward to the daily word reveal and they were engaging more with the Quran by reflecting more deeply over the meaning where the word was in the ayah. That really encouraged me and gave me happy vibes.

I really wanted to include all the artwork as I loved them all but I was limited to 60 drawings. You can view them all in the previous posts, you'll be blown away by their skills.

It was my first time hosting something on this scale and on a digital platform. And, tbh I'm wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. But I loved the challenge and that's what I do best, learn along the way.

So folks, Ramadan is only around the corner. To give you a heads up, I thought of preparing an easy challenge that our children can participate to get their creative juices flowing whilst simultaneously learning some Quranic Arabic vocab.

The challenge is to draw and write the word of the day from Alif to Yaa. Older children can write out an ayah with the word if they want to do a bit extra. Then submit your child's artwork via my DMs or tag me, before the following midnight GMT. Mama you can participate too. I will post them up on my page the next day inshallah.
